Reames House Information

The Reame’s House
540 East California St.
Jacksonville, OR 97530
541-899-1942

Reminiscent of the Queen Anne era, the Reames House offers a royal touch, though the residence turned bed and breakfast reveals the character of original owner Thomas Reames. Once a Jackson County Sheriff, Reames became a wealthy banker who poured much of his earnings into the palatial California Street mansion with a separate carriage house. Today, the integrity of the home remains intact, though the bed-and-breakfast inn features upgraded furnishings in the spacious common area and three guest rooms. Beautiful original art, luxurious sofas, a fire in the hearth, well-preserved antiques and quality appointments are all part of the Reames experience. Visitors can unwind and revive in comfortable surroundings, with feather duvets and a secluded patio that offer glimpses of deer descending from the hills. Like the entire town of Jacksonville, Oregon, the Reames House is on the National Historic Registry.
